A licensure examination given by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) to graduates of regulated professions such as nursing, engineering, teaching, accountancy, and many others. Passing it grants a professional license required to legally practice in that field. The exams are held on scheduled dates, often nationwide, and results include a passing rate and topnotchers. Passers must register with the PRC to receive their license and ID, which is renewed periodically. Some professions also require continuing education.
