Condo vs House-and-Lot

Housing

Two common property choices in the Philippines. A condominium unit means you own the interior space and a share in common areas, but not the land, and you pay monthly association dues; condos are often near city centers. A house-and-lot means you own both the structure and the land it sits on, giving more control but usually located farther out and requiring maintenance. Foreign ownership rules and financing differ between the two. The better choice depends on budget, location, and lifestyle, and market conditions are subject to the latest rules/guidelines.
