Barangay Clearance
Government & IDs
A certificate issued by the barangay, the smallest local government unit, confirming that a resident is of good standing in the community and has no pending barangay-level complaint. It is often a first-step requirement for job applications, business permits, and other clearances like police or NBI. Applicants usually present proof of residency and pay a small fee at the barangay hall. It may also certify residency or indigency depending on what is requested. It is only valid within a limited time. Requirements and fees are subject to the latest rules/guidelines.
