An official copy of a person's birth record issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), printed on secure paper. It is a primary document proving identity, age, and parentage, and is required for school enrollment, passport applications, employment, marriage, and many government transactions. Copies can be requested at PSA outlets or through authorized online delivery services for a fee. If details contain errors, corrections go through a separate legal or administrative process. It replaced the older NSO certificate. Fees, delivery times, and correction procedures are subject to the latest rules/guidelines.
