Credit Score
Finance
A measure of how likely a borrower is to repay debt, based on credit history such as loans, credit cards, and payment behavior. In the Philippines, the Credit Information Corporation (CIC) collects credit data, and accredited bureaus may generate scores that lenders use to evaluate applications. A good record of on-time payments generally helps, while missed payments and defaults can hurt future borrowing. Checking your own credit report periodically is possible through accredited providers. Scoring methods, access, and providers are subject to the latest rules/guidelines.
