OFW

The government body overseeing overseas Filipino workers. The Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) was reorganized into the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), which now handles the regulation of recruitment agencies, processing of overseas job placements, and protection of OFW rights. It maintains lists of licensed agencies, approves job orders, and provides pre-employment orientation and assistance. Workers are advised to verify that agencies and job offers are accredited to avoid illegal recruitment. It coordinates with other agencies for OFW welfare. Its rules, offices, and processes are subject to the latest rules/guidelines.
