Illegal Recruiter

OFW

A person or agency that recruits workers for overseas or local jobs without a valid license or authority from the government, or that engages in prohibited practices like collecting excessive fees, promising nonexistent jobs, or falsifying documents. Illegal recruitment is a serious offense in the Philippines and can amount to economic sabotage when done on a large scale. Job seekers are advised to verify an agency's license with the DMW and to be wary of offers that sound too good. Reporting suspected illegal recruiters helps prevent trafficking. Enforcement rules are subject to the latest rules/guidelines.
