I did exactly this for a year and I regret it, that P25,000 rent ate 71% of my take-home and I was basically working just to pay the landlord. Wala kang binanggit sa association dues, sa Uptown yan usually P3,000 to P5,000 on top, plus Meralco na umaabot ng P2,500 pag ginagamit mo aircon gabi-gabi. Add water, internet, and pagkain, natira sa akin around P1,500 for the whole month kaya lagi akong utang sa credit card. Move to a shared unit or check Guadalupe or Pinagsama where you get a decent place for P12k to P15k and just commute, saving mo yun ng P10k plus monthly.

Ang rule of thumb kasi is rent should be max 30% of income, so P10,500 lang dapat ang budget mo. BGC is a trap for that salary, be honest with yourself.
