Minimum Wage (per region)
Employment
The lowest legal daily wage an employer may pay, set separately for each region by its Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board. Rates differ by region and sometimes by industry, company size, or whether the work is agricultural or non-agricultural, so Metro Manila's minimum differs from other regions. Wage orders are periodically reviewed and may include cost-of-living allowances. Paying below the applicable minimum wage is illegal. Some small establishments may seek exemption under set conditions. Current rates are subject to the latest rules/guidelines.
