The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation, the national health insurance program covering all Filipinos under Universal Health Care. Members and their dependents get help with hospital bills, some outpatient services, and case-rate coverage for many illnesses and procedures. Contributions come from employees and employers, or are paid directly by self-employed, OFW, and voluntary members; indigent members may be subsidized. Coverage is applied automatically when you present your PhilHealth number in an accredited facility. Premium rates and benefit packages are subject to the latest rules/guidelines.
